Horizontal shell and tube evaporator is widely used in closed brine circulation system. Its main features
are: compact structure, liquid and heat transfer surface contact with high heat transfer coefficient.
But it needs to fill a large number of refrigerants, liquid column on the evaporation temperature will have a
certain impact. And when the brine concentration is reduced or the salt water pump is shut down for any
reason, the brine may be frozen in the tube.
If the refrigerant is freon, the freon dissolved lubricating oil is difficult to return to the compressor. Also
need to stop working when cleaning.
The main difference between a dry freon evaporator is that the refrigerant flows in the tube and the
refrigerant flows outside the tube. After the flow of the freon liquid from the lower end of the side of the
end into the evaporator, after several processes from the top of the end of the cover, the refrigerant in
the tube with the flow and continue to evaporate, so the wall is part of the possession of steam, so , Its
heat transfer effect as full liquid.
However, it has no effect on the evaporative temperature of the liquid column and is better due to the
higher flow rate of Freon (≥4 m / s).
In addition, due to the tube filled with a large number of refrigerant, thereby slowing the risk of freezing.
This kind of evaporator refrigerant charge only enough liquid type 1/2 ~ l / 3 or less, so called "dry
evaporator".
